Muskegon Area Transit System
Muskegon
Area Transit System (MATS) provides public bus service around Muskegon
County. MATS also provides the GoBus Service, and also Trolley Service.
GoBus
The
Muskegon Area Transit System GoBus is a shared-ride public
transportation, pre-scheduled, curb-to-curb service for the elderly, or
persons with a disability. Persons over age 60, persons with
disabilities, their personal care attendants, companions, and service
animals are allowed to obtain these services.
Trolley
Everyone
is welcome. All vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts. Children
under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The
fare to ride the Trolley is $0.25. Transfers, tickets, and passes from
other Muskegon Area Transit System buses will be accepted. Regular
transit passes and tranfers will not be sold or issued on trolleys.

Lake Express Ferry
Lake
Express began service on June 1, 2004, linking the states of Wisconsin
and Michigan with terminals in Milwaukee and Muskegon. The high-speed
Lake Michigan crossing takes just two and one-half hours, saving
passengers a lengthy drive through heavily congested Chicago. Lake

Muskegon County Airport
The
Muskegon County Airport is a safe, clean and modern commercial air
facility serving a five-county area along the beautiful Lake Michigan
shoreline. Regional airline srvices are provided by Northwest Airlines
and Midwest Airlines. Rental car services are provided by Alamo, Avis,
