Muskegon County Public Health Agency
The governmental public health agency has a unique role: to see to it that vital elements are in place and that the mission is adequately addressed. This role is accomplished by implementation of the core functions of public health: assessment of information on the health of the community, comprehensive public health policy development and the assurance that public health services are provided in the community. Muskegon Community Health Project (MCHP) is a catalyst for change. Community Mental Health Services
Community Mental Health Services (CMHS) is a public provider of services for people with developmental disabilities and/or serious mental illness. We provide service under a "Managed Care" contract with the State of Michigan, Department of Community Health. Our programs and activities are governed by a Board of Directors. Our services are available to residents of the community who have Medicaid or are uninsured, and who are eligible for services as defined by the Michigan Mental Health Code.
