These
are designated “tax-free” areas in the
cities of Muskegon and Muskegon Heights. Businesses
and developers that invest in these zones avoid real
and personal property taxes, the State’s Single
Business Tax, and local income taxes through the year
2014. These areas have already attracted $18.5 million
in investment, nearly 400,000 square feet of construction,
and approximately 100 new jobs to the Muskegon Area. |
