MUSKEGON — Nichols, one of the largest distributors of paper, packaging, and sanitary supplies in the state of Michigan, has expanded its senior management team.
Nichols CEO Michael K. Olthoff announced Aug. 30 that Kevin Rahrig would be executive vice president of finance and operations; and Curt Whiting would take the position of executive vice president of marketing and business development.
Effective immediately, the following Nichols employees have also joined the team as senior managers:
Dick Billadeau, who joined Nichols in 2003 as director of product management, has been named vice president of supply management. Renae Hesselink, who joined Nichols in 1993, has been named vice president of sales management. Hesselink previously served as manager of sales and e-business manager.
Kathy Lucas is the newest member of the Nichols team, and serves as the company’s human resources manager. Prior to joining Nichols, Lucas lived in New Buffalo, Mich., where she worked as a human resources manager in the financial industry.
Olthoff said that as Nichols has continued to grow and expand its capabilities, he felt strongly that his senior management team should expand as well.
“Nichols is fast becoming known as a leader in the paper, packaging, and sanitary supply industry,” he said. “We’re making decisions today that will affect how we continue to grow in the future, as well as the level of service we can provide to our customers. With this team of talented, experienced, and capable professionals leading the way, I am confident that we will continue to maintain our leadership position in the industry, while at the same time strategically managing our growth.”
Nichols has been in business for nearly seventy years and is headquartered in Muskegon. It also has branches in Jackson, Holland, and Traverse City, with equipment service facilities located in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo.
