CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Construction is underway
on a new Dick’s Sporting Goods store at The Lakes
Mall.
Mall owner Chattanooga, Tennessee-based CBL & Associates
Properties Inc. announced the new anchor last month.
One of America’s premier authentic full-line sporting
goods retailers, Dick’s Sporting Goods offers
a broad assortment of brand name sporting equipment,
apparel and footwear in a specialty store environment.
The store will be located on the east side of The Lakes
Mall adjacent to the food court. It will open by the
end of 2004.
“The addition of Dick’s Sporting Goods to
The Lakes Mall reinforces the mall’s position
as the dominant retail shopping destination in the greater
Muskegon market,” said Stephen Lebovitz, rresident
of CBL & Associates. “CBL is pleased to strengthen
the mall by bringing in this exciting new sporting goods
store, which will be an excellent complement to our
diversified retailer mix at the property.”
The Dick’s Sporting Goods store in The Lakes Mall
will feature equipment for a wide variety of sport enthusiasts
such as fishing, hunting, golf, exercise equipment and
skateboarding.
The Lakes Mall is a 645,660-square-foot regional shopping
center with more than 70 stores and eateries.
