According to the DoD., General Dynamics Land
Systems, Muskegon, Mich., was awarded on July 7, 2004,
a delivery order amount of $3,796,410 as part of a
$43,179,193 firm-fixed-price contract for conversion
of unserviceable government furnished Bradley Fighting
Vehicle transmissions to serviceable HMPT500-3ECA
transmissions. Work will be performed in Muskegon,
Mich., and is expected to be completed by March 30,
2005. Contract funds will not expire at the end of
the current fiscal year. There were an unknown number
of bids solicited via the World Wide Web on Dec. 10,
2002, and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Tank-Automotive
and Armaments Command, Warren, Mich., is the contracting
activity (DAAE07-03-D-N118).
Wolverine World Wide, Rockford, Mich., is being awarded
a $19,018,790 fixed price with economic price adjustment
and indefinite delivery type of contract for infantry
combat boots for the Army and Air Force. Work will
also be performed in Jonesboro, Ark. Performance completion
date is expected to be in July 10, 2005. Contract
funds will expire at the end of the current fiscal
year. There were 70 proposal solicitations and nine
responded. The contracting activity is the Defense
Supply Center Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pa. (SP0100-03-D-0321).
