February 2004
Re-Source Industries,
a production machine shop, recently acquired the former Burgess
Norton facility at 1485 Getty Street in Muskegon. The new facility
will accommodate a relocation of existing operations and provide
space for additional growth. Re-Source currently has approximately
twenty-eight employees. The company expects to hire as many as
twelve additional employees as a result of new business and the
additional space.
"We are excited
about the acquisition of this site and the opportunity to expand
our business in Muskegon. The larger facility meets our current
needs and provides additional space to grow our business,"
commented Paul Kuyt, Re-Source Industries President.
City of Muskegon officials
were also excited about a new firm and up to forty new jobs coming
to the City. Mayor Steve Warmington noted, "This project
is an excellent example of people and organizations working together
to close a deal. Re-Source Industries is a great addition to the
City of Muskegon and we are grateful to each of the parties that
worked with us to secure this project."
Grubb & Ellis|Paramount,
Comerica Bank, and economic development officials from the City
of Muskegon, Muskegon County and Muskegon Area First worked to
complete the project.
