Light Corp., a world-class specialty lighting manufacturer whose product offerings enlighten the workplace, has introduced a new purchasing alternative for their energy efficient commercial and industrial lighting products. This new program called the "Energy Enlightenment Program" will allow organizations the opportunity to purchase new lighting systems without the large cash outlay usually associated with the purchase of these systems.

"Our focus at Light has always been the creation of enlightened environments. With energy-efficiency being in the forefront of people’s minds today, we needed to take a step back and focus on how to best help companies attain these goals without having to invest significantly on the front-end," remarked Larry Leete, director of sales and marketing. "The payback for these retrofits falls in the realm of 12-15 months. Companies can reduce their energy consumption in half and increase the light levels of their environments by 25 percent in the process – creating an energy conscious, better-lit facility. However, the initial cash outlay sometimes forces companies to put off until later what they should be doing now. This new program will allow them to pay for this retrofit out of the monthly energy savings that they will attain by switching systems. This immediately allows them to see a positive cash flow, brighter facilities, and increased productivity levels from their workers which are associated with this type of switch-out - all without any large cash outlay."

As an example, a company that currently utilizes three-hundred and sixty-six (366) 400w metal halide fixtures for their facility will spend approximately $64,960 yearly ($5,413.34 per month) on energy to light their facility. By switching to Light’s Semaphore fixtures, this company would spend $34,192 yearly ($2,849.33 per month) on energy to light the same facility – a savings of $30,768 yearly ($2,564.01 per month). Utilizing Light’s "Energy Enlightenment Program" the company would spend $1,929.38 per month to pay for the upgrade – putting $634.63 a month back to the company’s bottom line.

"Lighting and other energy saving solutions are not typically on the top of the facility improvement list during the yearly budgeting process," said Tom Michele, Light VP-finance. "This program will allow companies to recognize immediate improvement in their lighting without the initial up-front cost or waiting for the next budget year."

The "Energy Enlightenment Program" is available across the entire product line of Light’s Semaphore Series of fixtures and is available through Light and Light’s value-added reseller partners.
